This morning started off with snow and by noon, the snow had melted and the sun was out resulting in a beautiful bright, cheery day at just above freezing: my kind of weather, and stuck in my office was the last place I wanted to be. So I grabbed a camera and a zoom lens and headed out! These are a small sample of some of the images I brought back….. click any image to enlarge.

I saw a lot of these small species of songbirds, but these three are just a start. More images one the way!

The ex-Floridian is loving the crisp weather..Those days have always been my favorite..Love the Chestnut sided Chickadees! beautiful images as always!
I grew up on a farm in the Flint Hills of Kansas and in the winter dozens of chickadees would gather around the feeder outside our dining room window. I still remember those cheerful little birds and their song which sounded exactly like chickadeedeedeedee . . .
Wonderful!
Thank you! Lots more on the way 🙂
I grew up only seeing chickadees in books – here, they are everywhere!
