Cameron Falls! An Incredible Waterfall and Geological Marvel!

by | Aug 22, 2016

Cameron Falls! Last week I made a sort of unplanned hop over the border into Alberta, Canada as I was spending part of my week photographing the landscapes and wilderness of the incredible Glacier National Park in Montana’s Rocky Mountains. Excessive crowds and inability to get close to the places I wanted to photograph due to the same crowds forced me to venture off my scheduled route in search of more solitude and less noise. While I certainly found more crowds in Waterton Lakes National Park just north of the border, I also got to cross another province off my visit list – Alberta! Click to enlarge.

Cameron Falls

Cameron Falls is a very famous, beautiful and serene waterfall in Waterton Lakes National Park in southern Alberta, Canada where Cameron Creek cascades over one-and-a-half billion year-old Precambrian bedrock.
